Tom Bergeron / Jason Palmer Brazilian Band
The Tom Bergeron/Jason Palmer Brazilian Band plays a cross-section of Brazilian music, beginning with choro, samba and bossa nova. Both longtime residents of Oregon, Bergeron (saxophone) and Palmer (drums) join forces with recent Brazilian arrivals, Cassio Vianna (piano), and Wagner Soares (bass).
Tom Bergeron and Jason Palmer have a long history of association, and have both trafficked in a wide range of musical traditions from jazz and classical; through pop, rock and blues; to the ABCs of Afropop: African, Brazilian and Cuban.
Pianist Cassio Vianna and electric bassist Wagner Soares have degrees in Brazilian Popular Music from the University of Rio de Janeiro, and have delved deeply into American jazz and pop.
The Bergeron/Palmer Brazilian Band, a truly pan-American collaboration, assimilates all these influences while focusing on the confluence of passion and groove that is the hallmark of Brazilian music, bringing you music for listening, dancing, and lovemaking.
